Northridge Local Schools is seeking a Library Media Specialist for our Middle School and High School for the 25/26 School Year.

Location: Northridge Middle and HighSchool

Grade Level: Library Media Specialist - Middle and High School

Licensure & Certification Requirements (Ohio):
  • Valid Ohio teaching license issued by the Ohio Department of Education.
  • Certification in Library/Media (K–12) through one of the following:
    • A Teacher Librarian (K–12) endorsement added to a valid Ohio teaching license, or
    • A Multi-Age (P–12) Library/Media Specialist license.
  • Must meet Ohio Department of Education requirements for service as a licensed School Library Media Specialist.
  • Completion of an approved educator preparation program in School Library/Media Science is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of information literacy, research skills, and instructional technology integration.
  • Experience collaborating with teachers to support curriculum and student achievement.
  • Familiarity with Ohio’s Learning Standards, Future Ready Librarians framework, and current best practices in school librarianship.
  • Skilled in managing a 21st-century media center, including print and digital collections, makerspace tools, and learning platforms.
