Job summary

A public educational institution in Tulsa is seeking a Librarian to provide library instruction and resources access to students and staff. The position requires a Master's degree in Library Science or equivalent and prior experience in a library setting. Candidates must be able to obtain a valid Oklahoma Library Media Specialist certificate and are preferred to be bilingual in Spanish. Position Summary: Provides instruction in and access to library information resources andprograms for students, staff and the entire school community.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
• Master of Library Science (MLS), Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS),Master of Librarianship degree or the equivalent from an accredited college-level libraryprogram (Preferred) or
• Masters degree in any subject and at least one of the following:
o Thirty (30) or more coursework hours related to library/media
o Fifteen (15) or more coursework hours related to library/media and one (1) yearof relevant work experience
o Three (3) or more years of library/media related work experience and a letterfrom the district
o Enrolled in a Library Media or School Librarian certification program or
• Bachelors degree and enrolled in a Master of Library Science (MLS), Master of Libraryand Information Science (MLIS), Master of Librarianship, or the equivalent

Experience:
• Previous experience working in a library or media related organization

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc.:
• Possess or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Oklahoma Library Media Specialistcertificate or waiver from OSDE
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
