Job summary

Mullica Township School District is seeking a Library Media Specialist to lead an enriched school library program and support students and staff with access to diverse resources and information literacy instruction.

The position requires NJ Standard Certification as Library/Media Specialist, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment. This is a full-time role through the end of the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications

• Valid NJ Standard Certification as Library/Media Specialist (or CE).
• Demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Required criminal history background check.
• Proof of citizenship or legal resident status.
• Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver or applicant agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming library environment with diverse materials to invite intellectual growth.
• Teach information literacy and research skills to students.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into lessons.

PAY RATE:

$61,894 (minimum) as Per MTEA Contract
