Job summary

Boone Middle School is seeking a Library Media Associate - Substitute to assist the Librarian with daily library operations and supervision of students. You will support instructional activities, help students locate materials, and manage check-out processes.

Under the supervision of the Building Principal and District Librarian, you will contribute to a learning-friendly library environment, following district policies and protecting confidentiality while engaging with diverse student needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience with working with children preferred.
• Oral and written communication skills in English are essential.
• Ability to organize materials, manage library resources and assist with lessons.

Responsibilities

• Assist Librarian with daily library operations and supervise students in the library.
• Support students with academic needs using library resources and projects.
• Check in/out materials and maintain library inventory and orderliness.
• Prepare lessons and makerspace activities in coordination with staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow district policies at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Building Principal and District Librarian.
