Job summary

The City of Fort Worth in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Customer Service Representative II at the Fort Worth Public Library to assist at Reby Cary Youth Library and Ella Mae Shamblee Library. You will deliver friendly, efficient service and handle circulation and basic admin duties for a diverse patron base.

Position requires an eagerness to work evenings and weekends, a high school diploma or GED, and at least two years of customer-service experience. A cover letter and resume are requested.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of customer service experience preferred.
• Must pass physical requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provides friendly, efficient, and professional service to customers in person, by phone, and by email.
• Checks library materials in and out to customers and assists with circulation duties.
• Answers general questions regarding library policy, procedures, and accounts.
• Offers information about library services and programs.
• Explains catalog usage and operates copy machines, printers, etc.
• Issues library cards and handles cash transactions at the register.
