The City of McKinney seeks a dedicated individual to provide essential mail and delivery services for its Public Libraries. This role involves driving a library van, assisting with library material displays, and ensuring a positive experience for library patrons. Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to provide mail and delivery services for the McKinney Public Libraries. Assists with planning, implementing and maintaining rotating displays of library material. Performs related work as required.

High school diploma or GED. Six (6) months experience driving vehicles, preferably a van, and making deliveries according to a set schedule.
Any work related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the above Minimum Qualifications is an acceptable substitute for the above specified education and experience requirements.
Bilingual preferred.
Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light to medium weight (10-50 pounds). May also involve the pushing and/or pulling of objects or materials up to two-hundred (200) pounds between. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station. Some tasks require visual/sound perception/discrimination and oral communications ability.
Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
