Job summary

Villanova University’s Falvey Memorial Library is seeking a part-time Collections and Stewardship Tech for Fall 2026. This student role supports the creation and organization of information resources to back library collections, including digital content production, catalog records, and shipment handling.

The position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and adherence to library standards.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Familiarity with standard library practices and digital library standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and organize information resources to support collections.
• Produce digital content for the Digital Library using scanners and specialized software.
• Add and modify records in cataloging and acquisitions software.
• Unload shipments of materials and compare contents to invoices.
• Label and physically prepare new library materials and rare materials.
• Assist in preservation projects and shipment preparation for binding/repair.
