Job summary

East Carolina University is seeking Circulation Student Assistants to provide exemplary customer service at the library front desk and in the stacks. Responsibilities include handling check-ins/outs, assisting with opening/closing, and supporting inventory and cleaning tasks throughout the semester.

Qualified candidates must be current ECU students with a minimum 2.0 GPA. The role supports day-to-day library operations with morning and/or afternoon shifts and a stated hourly rate.

Responsibilities

• Check in and out materials, answer questions, and assist patrons at the front desk
• Assist in opening and closing duties for the department as needed
• Assist with equipment inventory and cleaning projects
• Any other special tasks necessary to assist in the day-to-day functions of the department
