Job summary

The Napoleon Public Library seeks a Library Assistant Float to work between the Adult and Youth Services Departments on a part-time schedule of 24 to 28 hours per week. The role provides reference and circulation services, assists patrons with technology, and supports programs and collection maintenance.

You will engage with the community, promote library resources, and collaborate with staff to deliver welcoming service. A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license for travel to outreach events, meetings, and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly reference and reader's advisory services.
• Assist patrons with library technology, online resources, and digital services.
• Support collection maintenance, shelving, cataloging support, processing, repair, inventory, and weeding.
• Plan, prepare, and present programs and outreach activities.
• Build relationships with community organizations to promote services.
• Promote programs, collections, and services through displays and outreach.
