Job description

SUMMARY

Responsible for the overall management of a library, ensuring that appropriate library materials are available to students and staff. Communicates verbally, in writing, and via computer. May collaborate with the on-site Library Media Specialist.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Completion of an AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test.
  • OR an Associate’s Degree (or higher).
  • OR two years (60 Semester-Hour credits) of study at an institute of higher learning.
  • Two years of general office and/or library work experience.
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

  • FBI fingerprint background check.
  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

COMMENTS

  • Effective: 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
  • Location: Grijalva Elementary School - Drexel & Mission Area
  • Classification: White Collar
  • FTE: 1.0, 8 hours per day
  • Work Calendar: 9.5 months

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
