McKenzie County Library, under the direction of the Library Director, seeks a Library Assistant to support day-to-day operations such as customer service, circulation, reference, and programming. Under the direction of the Library Director, the Library Assistant assists with the day-to-day operation of the Library. This includes providing customer service to patrons, circulation, reference, programming, Bookmobile operations, and public computer assistance. This position is scheduled Monday–Friday 9:45 AM - 6:15 PM, with regularly rotating Wednesday evenings and Saturdays. Occasional additional Saturdays may be required to support community outreach events and special programming, as needed.
This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is compensated on an hourly basis starting at $26.00 per hour. This position is eligible for benefits including applicable health, dental, vision, retirement, paid leave, flex spending, paid holidays, and other benefits available to eligible employees, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefit plans and policies.
