McKenzie County Library in Watford City, ND, seeks a Library Assistant to support day-to-day operations, customer service, circulation, reference, and programs. The role includes Bookmobile operations and public computer assistance, with a Monday–Friday schedule and rotating Saturdays/evenings.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of customer service or education experience, and a valid driver's license.
Under the direction of the Library Director, the Library Assistant assists with the day-to-day operation of the Library. This includes providing customer service to patrons, circulation, reference, programming, Bookmobile operations, and public computer assistance. This position is scheduled Monday–Friday 9:45 AM - 6:15 PM, with regularly rotating Wednesday evenings and Saturdays. Occasional additional Saturdays may be required to support community outreach events and special programming, as needed.
This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is compensated on an hourly basis starting at $26.00 per hour. This position is eligible for benefits including applicable health, dental, vision, retirement, paid leave, flex spending, paid holidays, and other benefits available to eligible employees, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefit plans and policies.
