Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Library Aide to support daily library operations for an inmate/resident population and to help provide access to general and law library resources. You will develop catalog systems, manage access schedules, supervise inmate workers, assist in locating materials, and ensure safety and order in the library.

Requirements include a High School diploma, at least two years of library experience, a valid driver's license, and being at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of library work experience preferred (cataloging, reference, bibliographies).
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum age 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining library catalog system.
• Create schedules for inmate access to general and law libraries; enforce policies.
• Search catalogs and reference materials to assist material selection.
• Train inmate workers in shelving, locating materials, and checking books in/out.
• Maintain tracking system for book location and conduct inventories.
