Job summary

WSU Libraries in Wichita, KS is seeking a student assistant to support Circulation, Stacks, and Interlibrary Loan with on-site duties. The role is part-time and up to 20 hours per week, with morning and weekend availability while enrolled at Wichita State University.

Responsibilities include customer service, checking materials in/out, shelving, and assisting with catalog tasks and room bookings. This is a great chance to gain hands-on library experience in a campus setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at Wichita State University.
• Morning (7am–1pm) and weekend availability.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with library systems.

Responsibilities

• Circulation: Checking materials in and out, renewals, holds.
• Interlibrary Loan: Retrieve, package, and deliver materials for ILL; scan articles.
• Stacks: Maintain shelves, search for missing items, inventory control.
