$23.86 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area/Cocoa/Catherine Schweinsberg-Rood Central Library/Creative Lab/River House. Work schedule is variable and includes evenings and weekends. Performs entry level professional work assisting a Librarian II primarily in the Youth Services section of the library.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in any field PLUS one (1) year of paid or volunteer experience working in a public library.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must successfully complete the Brevard County Driver Safety course within sixty (60) days of employment. When usage statistics change, library employees may be assigned to another library. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
