The Town of Prosper is hiring a full-time Librarian to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their professional career who’s interested in developing their leadership skills without stepping directly into a supervisory role.
You’ll play a key part in bridging the gap between our long-range strategy and the day-to-day work that keeps the library running smoothly. In addition to providing excellent front-line service, you’ll work closely with the Library Director, Youth Services Librarian, Technology Coordinator, and a proposed Circulation Supervisor to help shape library operations during an exciting period of growth.
This position is ideal for someone who’s thinking long-term—whether toward a future role as a branch manager, assistant director, or director—but wants to build experience and confidence first.

Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program required.
Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in a public library or related setting.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
