Job description

Duties: The Brain Behavior Laboratory and the PennCHOP Lifespan Brain Institute (LiBI) are recruiting a Clinical Research Coordinator A to help investigators conduct behavioral and functional neuroimaging research examining brain behavior relation. The position will draw on a wide range of skills and provide learning opportunities in diverse areas. Responsibilities will include assisting with: recruiting, scheduling, and assessing subjects; acquisition of data for behavioral and functional MRI (fMRI) experiments; neuroimaging data analysis and maintenance, managing and cleaning data, querying databases to create reports and determine the accuracy of data entered; exporting/importing data between different sources; editing SAS an R code to organize data for analyses; assisting with basic statistical analyses using SAS, R and other tools and help with grant and manuscript preparation.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Statistics, Computer Science or related field and 1 year to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience in biomedical or psychological research or data management preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience designing and querying relational databases using SQL preferred; extensive knowledge of tools useful in manipulating and converting data; facility with numbers and meticulous attention to detail; experience with statistics and statistical programming (SAS or R preferred); programming experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages preferred; capacity for learning new technical skills independently; experience with UNIX or Mac OSX preferred. Above all, the applicant should demonstrate strong motivation and excellent organizational skills.

Must pass Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Act (also known as Act 73) background checks, within 30-90 days of employment
