PACCAR is seeking a Liaison Engineering Supervisor in Renton, WA to lead the Liaison Engineering Team, supervise work distribution, and coordinate cross-functional resolution of design/build questions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; engineering strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible engineering assignments.
• High initiative and proactive problem solving.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Knowledge of PCMS, CMS-80, Creo/Windchill, PLR/FRACAS.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Liaison Engineering support for Production, interfacing with internal and external departments and divisions to resolve design/build questions.
• Contain identified shop floor issues pending permanent corrective action; implement corrective actions where appropriate.
• Communicate issue and project status updates to stakeholders in various levels of the PACCAR organization.
• Review upcoming builds to anticipate and mitigate potential production challenges.
• Monitor PLR database, prioritize issues, and distribute workload.
• Coordinate issue resolution with Division engineering; participate in development of long term design solutions to identified issues.
• Support Division prototype and pilot trials and provide constructive feedback.
• Facilitate resolution of engineering related PQI issues.
• Review supplier quality questions on PPAP sample submissions; initiates engineering deviations, as appropriate.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives within Liaison Engineering, champion Six Sigma projects.
• Evaluate requests for deviation from Engineering standards.
• Manage staffing, and training and development of Liaison Engineering Team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requisition Summary

Provide leadership to the Renton Liaison Engineering Team, including supervision and work distribution.

Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Coordinates Liaison Engineering support for Production, interfacing with internal and external departments and divisions to resolve immediate design/build questions

• Must be able to work with a diverse set of stakeholders and manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies, training and experience in use of Six Sigma tools
• Desired working knowledge with PCMS, CMS-80, Creo/Windchill, PLR/FRACAS
