Job summary

FreedomCare in Jamaica, Queens is seeking an LHCSA Recruitment Specialist to lead high-volume, full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for Home Health Aides on our LHCSA team. You will identify qualified candidates with HHA certification to support patients in their homes.

The ideal candidate is bilingual (Spanish/English), energetic, and excels at interview and ATS processes in a fast-paced environment. A strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate scheduling and trainings are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years recruiting Home Health Aides or similar role.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (bilingual).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with behavioral interviewing and ATS usage.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-volume, full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for new staff for the LHCSA team.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
• Follow-up on leads from Health Plans and internal staff.
• Leverage registry to locate eligible HHAs.
• Maintain notes in the ATS and coordinate interviews with team members.
• Be a strong problem-solver under time pressure.

This is an officed based position and will require daily commute to our Jamaica Queens office.

Department & Position Overview

The LHCSA Recruitment Specialist plays a crucial role in recruitment and identifying Home Health Aides to join our LHCSA team. The Recruiter focuses on identifying and working with candidates who currently hold a certification as a Home Health Aide. The Recruiter is dedicated to the LHCSA team and understands this unique business unit of FreedomCare and the importance to our patient that we have a strong team of certified Home Health Aides to support our patients in their homes with their licensed home health needs.

Every Day You Will

• Execute high volume, full-cycle recruitment, and onboarding for new staff members within our homecare agency
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and internal policies and procedures
• Follows-up on leads from Health Plans and internal staff
• Leverages Home Health Registry to locate eligible potential HHAs
• Maintain a presence at health-care job fair and create open house events
• Maintain up to date notes in ATS (Applicant Tracking system)
• Coordinate follow up interviews with required team members
• Must be a great problem-solver, be able to work under time-pressure and multi-task while remaining composed
• Must be comfortable with computers, and have ability to learn and operate scheduling and training software systems
• Preference given to those with home health care experience, or who have managed / organized home health care services for a loved one
• Ability to provide emergency backfill on shifts as needed (HHA related work)

Ideal Candidate Will Possess

• Minimum of 2 years experience recruiting home health aides in a similar environment
• Candidate must be Fluent in Spanish (Bilingual Spanish/English)
• High energy, well spoken, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with behavioral based interviewing
• Experience with Applicant Tracking System
• Attention to detail and organizational skills are a must
• Must be able to quickly adapt to change and be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Must be a great problem-solver, be able to work under time-pressure and multi-task while remaining composed

At FreedomCare, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides our employees with the opportunity to professionally grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $23.00 and $25.00 an hour at the commencement of your first year of employment. Compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications.
