Job summary

Biffa Waste Services is hiring an LGV Driver (AM shift) at Ford Depot. You will drive various LGV vehicles, collect and empty bins from trade waste customers, and work outdoors on a 45-hour week with an early start (04:00).

There is weekly Monday–Friday work with occasional Saturday overtime. We offer on-the-job training and a benefits package including PPE, pension, and discounts through Biffa Perkz.

Qualifications

Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Good awareness of health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders to collect and empty bins for trade waste customers.
Work outdoors operating independently as part of a single-person crew.
Carry out duties safely and efficiently to support environmental and community outcomes.
