Job summary

LGSTX Services in Windsor, CT is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform reactive repairs and preventative maintenance on conveyor systems and related equipment. You will read and interpret manuals and schematics, fabricate and weld, and coordinate with operations.

The role requires 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience; overtime and weekend work may be required. We offer a structured environment with attention to safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Fabricate and weld as needed for conveyors and related systems.
• Read manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics; identify parts and tools.
• Operate and maintain equipment used in conveyor systems installation and demolition.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components and systems.
• Maintain CMMS records accurately and timely.
• Mentor less experienced mechanics; coordinate with operations.
• Adhere to safety policies; flexible shifts including weekends; possible OT.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs reactive repairs and preventative maintenance on all equipment as designated above.
• Possesses the ability to cut weld and fabricate.
• Reads and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Safely operates all equipment associated with the manufacturing and demolition of conveyor systems, including fabrication /welding, and conduit and wiring installation and demolition.
• Troubleshoots, repairs, and constructs mechanical and electrical systems including compressors, air lines, diverters, cylinders, switches, VFD's, control devices, and systems.
• Troubleshoots, repairs and installs electrical components with voltages from 12 volts DC to 480 volts AC.
• Develops work plan for emergency repair of critical assets. Work plan to include coordinating with operations, locating parts/tools for repair, scheduling time with equipment, etc.
• Demonstrates proficiency with CMMS.
• Acts as a liaison between LGSTX Services and contractors on maintenance, modifications, and operations of equipment required and do so in keeping with our value of providing excellence in customer service.
• Available to work flexible schedules, including working all shifts, weekends and some holidays as per our customers production schedules and requirements. Overtime may be necessary as required.
• Demonstrates a professional attitude and is professional at all times.
• Informs supervisors and operations immediately of potential delays to schedules and time lines as they occur.
• Demonstrates flexibility with scheduling and tasks.
• Works with other departments, companies, or personnel at any time as required.
• Maintains all required paperwork, work orders, electronic records and reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensures all equipment is kept in the highest possible state of repair and appearance.
• Serves as a mentor to less experienced MHE mechanics
• Follows all LGSTX and/or customer operating procedures.
• Is safety conscious at all times and ensures compliance with all company policies, federal, state and local regulations.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

• Must be able to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Must have at least 5 years (10 years is preferred) of verifiable prior work experience with industrial or commercial maintenance work as a maintenance technician or mechanic.
• Must be self-motivated with the ability work without direct supervision and/or as part of a team.
• Two to four years of formal approved technical training, apprenticeship or schooling in industrial or commercial maintenance to include mechanical and electrical is preferred.

Qualifications

Education Required:

• High School or better.

Experience Required:

• 5 years: Electrical Maintenance repair
• 5 years: Conveyor Maintenance repair

Work Schedule:

Monday 10:00am - 6:30pm

Tuesday - Friday 5:00am - 1:30pm

OT as needed.

Pay Range: $36.00 - $39.00/per hour
