Job summary

Pathways Counseling Center, Inc is seeking an independent contractor psychologist to provide psychotherapy to adults in a hybrid setting in Saint Paul, MN. This role offers exceptional flexibility and autonomy, with opportunities for professional development and bonuses. Responsibilities include providing therapy, conducting assessments, and maintaining clinical documentation.

Qualifications

• Professional liability insurance is required.
• Minimum two years of sobriety.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychotherapy to adults (18+) through telehealth and/or in-person sessions.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments as needed.
• Attend supervision sessions and monthly professional meetings.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Location: Hybrid – St. Paul, MN / Telehealth (Remote)

Position Overview

This is an independent contractor position—not a salaried or benefits-eligible role. Experience working with LGBTQIA+ clients is preferred but not required—training and supervision are provided to ensure clinical competence and confidence in serving this community.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide psychotherapy to adults (18+) through telehealth and/or in-person sessions.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments as needed.
• Attend supervision sessions and monthly professional meetings.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Supervision

Free clinical supervision is provided toward the following licensures:

• Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)

Supervision is provided by Pathways’ qualified supervisors.

• Independent Contractor status: paid time off and health insurance are not provided.
• Flexibility: Create your own schedule and work remotely, in person, or hybrid.
• Commitment: Minimum one-year contract.
• Caseload: 20+ sessions per week (option to expand).
• Compensation: Flat-rate reimbursement per service, plus travel reimbursement (if applicable).
