Job Details

The Department of Family & Community Medicine of the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University is currently accepting candidates for the position of The Jefferson Fellowship in LGBTQIA+ Health.

Job Description

This is a 1-year non-ACGME accredited fellowship position in LGBTQIA+ Health, hired as a 0.6 clinical FTE, full-time clinical faculty member. The role involves splitting clinical time between Jefferson Family Medicine Associates (Center City) and Jefferson Pride Care (Haddonfield, NJ).

Responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing clinical care in family medicine, HIV primary care, and LGBTQIA+ health, including gender-affirming care.
  2. Establishing and maintaining a panel of primary care patients, managing chronic and acute health conditions, and preventive care.
  3. Participating in educational clinical experiences in HIV primary care with FM, IM, ID clinicians, LGBTQIA+ care with affirming medical subspecialists, behavioral health, and allied health professionals.
  4. Engaging in quality improvement efforts and developing clinical services programs across Jefferson in LGBTQIA+ care.
  5. Participating in at-home telephone call duties from 5-9 PM once monthly within a large DFCM call pool.
  6. Collaborating as part of an interprofessional team (including MAs, RNs, behavioral health, social workers, population health specialists) providing patient-centered care.
  7. Teaching resident physicians and medical students about LGBTQIA+ and HIV care.

Requirements:

Qualified applicants must hold an MD or DO degree and be board certified or eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Candidates must have or obtain a PA and NJ medical license. Academic appointment and salary will be based on experience. Jefferson offers competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits.
