Job summary

SCO Family of Services seeks a licensed clinical social worker to provide individual and family therapy for LGBTQ youth in our program. You will conduct trauma-informed assessments, participate in team meetings, and support crisis intervention as needed.

Work includes implementing evidence-based treatment models, ensuring compliance with NYS and federal standards, and serving as a resource for staff on trauma, domestic violence, mental illness, and substance use.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice in NYS (LMSW/LCSW, LMHC, or psychologist).
• Experience with trauma-informed treatment models.
• Experience working with LGBTQ youth.
• Experience in multicultural settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy as well as family therapy for LGBTQ youth.
• Conduct screening assessments, including trauma and depression screens and suicide risk screens.
• Complete all contractually required case documentation in the EHR.
• Participate in team meetings, program-wide staff meetings, and mandated training.
• Provide crisis intervention.
• Participate and support implementation of evidence-based/evidence-informed therapeutic model(s).
• Ensure that services are delivered in compliance with SCO Family of Services, NYS, and federal standards.
• Serve as a resource for program staff on trauma, domestic violence, mental illness, and substance use.
• Participate and promote a positive, supportive and cooperative team environment.
• Accept assignments as requested by clinical supervisor and/or Director of Clinical Services.
