Barrett Petfood in Little Falls, Minnesota is hiring a Full-Time Forklift Driver to join our manufacturing team onsite. Earn $19.50–$23.00 per hour with shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts, and enjoy a strong benefits package including company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, life insurance, an HSA, paid time off, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a manufacturing setting.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience operating a forklift is preferred.
• Able to locate and scan products using the Plex ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move bulk product and load onto packaging lines.
• Inspect bulk product quality prior to movement and ensure FIFO.
• Scan bulk product onto packaging lines and print pallet labels in Plex.
• Weigh bulk product not packaged and report discrepancies.
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and complete related paperwork.

Shifts Available

• 2ND SHIFT Mon - Fri 2PM - 10:30PM (+$1.50 shift differential)
• 3RD SHIFT Mon - Fri 10PM - 6:30AM (+$3.00 shift differential)

Day to Day responsibilities

• Utilize Barrett's ERP system, Plex, for location of bulk product
• Ensure quality of bulk product by inspecting product prior to movement
• Scan bulk product onto the packaging line it will hang on
• Safely hang 2,000lb bulk product on the packaging line & notify the packaging operator
• Weigh any bulk product that did not get packaged into smaller bags & report it to the packaging operator
• Ensure FIFO
• Enter product information & print labels for pallets in our ERP system, Plex
• Screen kibble as necessary
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and complete paperwork
• Wrap & transport finished pallets to the warehouse & stage for shipping
• Count and check orders as they are packaged for accuracy

physical requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, and perform other physical activities required in a manufacturing environment.
• Climb and descend stairs and ladders safely and routinely, including accessing elevated work areas and equipment.
• Ability to safely operate or work from a scissor lift to access elevated equipment and production areas for inspection, verification, and environmental or sanitation sampling
• Maintain balance and stability while working on elevated platforms, stairs, ladders, and uneven or wet surfaces, as applicable.
• Work in varying environmental conditions, including areas that may be hot, cold, wet, humid, noisy, or subject to temperature fluctuations.
