• Wrap and transport finished pallets to the warehouse; assist with shipping.
• Count and verify orders during packaging and assist with inventory accuracy.

Your day as a Forklift Driver

As a new Full-Time Forklift Driver at Barrett Petfood, you can expect a fast‑paced, hands‑on workday that emphasizes safety and efficiency. Your primary responsibilities will include operating forklifts to move kibble and packaged products within the manufacturing facility, ensuring timely deliveries and inventory management. You’ll be expected to perform daily safety checks on equipment, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and collaborate with team members to enhance productivity.

Available Schedules

2nd Shift (+$1.50): Monday through Friday, from 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM

3rd Shift (+$3): Monday through Friday, from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM

• Utilize Barrett's ERP system, Plex, for location of bulk product
• Ensure quality of bulk product by inspecting product prior to movement
• Scan bulk product onto the packaging line it will hang on
• Safely hang 2,000lb bulk product on the packaging line & notify the packaging operator
• Weigh any bulk product that did not get packaged into smaller bags & report it to the packaging operator
• Ensure FIFO rules are adhered to
• Enter product information & print labels for pallets in our ERP system, Plex
• Screen kibble as necessary
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and complete paperwork
• Wrap & transport finished pallets to the warehouse & stage for shipping
• Count and check orders as they are packaged for accuracy
