Lexington, TX/OUTSIDE - CDL CLASS A OR B DRIVER FT (47038)

Join us at Woodson Lumber Company as a CDL Class A or B Driver in Lexington, TX. This full-time position reports to the Store Manager and involves serving our supply chain logistics department efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities
  1. Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.
  2. Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns; perform preventative maintenance.
  3. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
  4. Document work/rest periods, miles driven, and retain fuel/toll receipts.
  5. Comply with trucking regulations and company policies.
  6. Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions.
  7. Verify and follow delivery instructions.
  8. Report defects, accidents, or violations.
  9. Assist in yard operations and customer service as needed.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Certifications
  1. Proven experience as a truck driver.
  2. Ability to drive long hours.
  3. Knowledge of trucking rules and regulations.
  4. No recent violations.
  5. Ability to handle unexpected situations with foresight.
  6. Valid Class A or B CDL license.
