Lexington, KY Needs Virtual Special Education Teachers for Middle/High School Programs

Minimum 1+ years of special education experience required.

Position Details

  • Full-time position (35-37.5 hours weekly)
  • Middle and high school focus (grades 6-12)
  • Supporting students with emotional and behavioral disorders
  • Caseload typically ranging from 45-55 students
  • Providing both push-in virtual support and small group instruction
  • Flexible scheduling with core hours during the regular school day

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage the IEP process for assigned students, including development and implementation
  • Design and deliver specialized instruction targeting specific IEP goals
  • Implement behavior intervention strategies appropriate for virtual settings
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on student support plans
  • Conduct virtual assessments to inform instructional planning
  • Provide consultation to general education teachers on appropriate accommodations
  • Maintain detailed digital documentation of services and student progress
