Job summary

Leprino Foods is seeking a Whey Maintenance Technician in Lemoore, CA. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of plant equipment on 2nd & 3rd shifts, with starting pay of $37.30 per hour plus a $0.75 differential for the 6PM–5:59AM window.

The technician will fabricate or modify equipment to Leprino specs, install new or used equipment, and maintain a safe, compliant work environment while meeting MEP requirements.

Qualifications

• GMPs knowledge required.
• Must follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Must exercise judgment and make decisions.
• Welding skills including arc, TIG, MIG.
• Ability to read blue prints and P&ID drawings.
• Ability to work with outside contractors.
• Electrical experience in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate or modify equipment to Leprino specs and standards.

• Repair plant equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns or downtime.
• Assist in shift coverage when needed.

WHEY MAINTENANCE TECH

General Summary:

At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role - Whey Maintenance Technician Rate is $37.30 (Break in rates and $0.75 cents differential pay from 6PM - 5:59AM applies). This Technician is responsible for performing trouble shooting, repair, planned maintenance and preventive maintenance on plant equipment on 2nd & 3rd Shift.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Responsible for fabrication or modification of equipment to Leprino specs and standards.
• Responsible for the installation of new or used equipment.
• Responsible for repairs of building and all plant equipment.
• Responsible for plant preventative maintenance.
• Responsible to promptly respond to any equipment break downs or downtime when applicable.
• Responsible to assist in shift coverage when applicable.
• Responsible for welding repairs to plant equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.
• Responsible to fulfill MEP requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of GMPs.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions of the position.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Must demonstrate knowledge of previous maintenance experience.
• Welding skills including: arc, tig, mig, and sanitary welding.
• Ability to design, layout and fabricate.
• Ability to read blue prints and P&ID drawing.
• Ability to work well with outside contractors.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Knowledge and ability to perform work in a safe and organized manner.
• Knowledge of proper safe use of hand tools.
• Must have the ability to complete all assigned paperwork, per assignment.
• Must have electrical experience in an industrial environment.

Working Relationships:

• This position reports to the Maintenance Department Manager or a Supervisor.
• This position will regularly interact with other production and support group supervisors. Regular interaction with other plant management.
