Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a Senior Associate in Boston to join its Finance & Financial Services practice. The ideal candidate has 5-7 years in leveraged finance, handling complex cross-border transactions and direct client interaction.

You will manage sponsor-backed financings, multi-lender facilities, and mezzanine or subordinated debt, drafting sophisticated loan documents and guiding deals to close in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years' experience in leveraged finance/private credit at a national firm.
• JD from an ABA‑accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in one or more jurisdictions preferred.
• Residence in the Boston area prior to hire.
• Familiarity with LMEs, unitranche structures, and sponsor finance market terms.

Responsibilities

• Manage sponsor-backed acquisition financings, including cross-border and multi-currency deals.
• Oversee multi-lender/syndicated facilities and intercreditor arrangements.
• Facilitate mezzanine and subordinated debt and co-investments.
• Draft and negotiate loan documents with clients and lenders.

A law firm seeks a Senior Associate with 5-7 years of experience to join its Finance & Financial Services practice in Boston. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in leveraged finance, representing financial institutions and private credit funds in complex transactions. This role involves direct client interaction and managing transactions to closure in a dynamic environment.

Duties

• Manage sponsor-backed acquisition financings, including cross-border and multi-currency deals.
• Handle cash-flow and asset-based lending, including senior and superpriority revolvers.
• Oversee multi-lender/syndicated facilities and intercreditor/subordination arrangements.
• Facilitate mezzanine and subordinated debt, preferred equity co-investments, and structured solutions.
• Conduct liability management transactions, including negotiation of intercreditor mechanics.
• Execute amend-and-extend transactions, refinancings, and recapitalizations.

Requirements

• 5-7 years' experience in leveraged finance/private credit at a national firm.
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in one or more jurisdictions preferred (FL, NY, MA, IL, GA, NC, TX).
• Residence in the Boston area required at or prior to hire.
• Familiarity with LMEs, unitranche structures, and sponsor finance market terms.
• Strong drafting skills and commercial awareness.
• Big-law training and experience with sophisticated deals.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage client relationships.
