Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Austin seeks a Senior Associate (5-7 years) to join its Finance & Financial Services practice.

The ideal candidate will have leveraged finance experience, complex transaction management, and direct client interaction in a high‑performing, big‑law environment.

This role requires strong drafting, negotiation, and commercial judgment, with cross-border and multi‑currency deal exposure. Residence in the Austin area is required.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years' experience in leveraged finance/private credit at a national firm.
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Bar admission in one or more jurisdictions preferred or eligibility to become licensed.
• Residence in the Austin area required at or prior to hire.
• Familiarity with LMEs, unitranche structures, and sponsor finance market terms.
• Strong drafting skills and commercial awareness.
• Big-law training and experience with sophisticated deals.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage sponsor-backed acquisition financings, including cross-border and multi-currency deals.
• Handle cash-flow and asset-based lending, including senior and superpriority revolvers.
• Oversee multi-lender/syndicated facilities and intercreditor arrangements.
• Facilitate mezzanine and subordinated debt, preferred equity co-investments, and structured solutions.
• Conduct liability management transactions, including negotiation of intercreditor mechanics.
• Execute amend-and-extend transactions, refinancings, and recapitalizations.
