Job summary

JPMorgan in New York seeks an Analyst in Leveraged Finance to analyze optimal capital structures and coordinate deals across internal and external teams. You will focus on delivering marketable financing solutions for non-investment grade clients and engage with senior bankers and executives to drive deal success.

You will build and review financial models, assess debt capacity, and prepare materials for term sheets and marketing packages, while supporting client meetings and due diligence

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in investment banking, credit risk, Big Four or related field
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information and help develop innovative client solutions
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Well organized and able to efficiently manage projects with minimal supervision
• Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet time sensitive deadlines
• Excellent presentation skills; comfortable presenting to client senior management, investors and senior members of the firm

Responsibilities

• Perform financial modeling and financial statement analysis
• Determine cash flow and asset-based debt capacity based on various business models
• Drive the preparation of term sheets, capital markets and credit approval packages and marketing materials
• Prepare presentation materials and participate in client/investor meetings
• Conduct extensive due diligence on companies, industry and product research as well as comparable analysis
• Coordinate communication across numerous internal and external parties
• Review all work prepared by analysts including financial models
