Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Level 3 Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy trucks and trailers in our Murray, KY facility. You will inspect vehicles, perform repairs with limited supervision, and document work on orders and inspection forms while tracking parts usage.

The role requires strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced fleet environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; vocational training preferred.
  • CDL preparation a plus.
  • 2–4 years of tractor/trailer maintenance experience in a commercial garage or fleet setting.
  • A 2-year Diesel Mechanics degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, preventative maintenance and vehicle inspections following FMCSA guidelines.
  • Perform non-scheduled repairs on trucks and trailers with limited supervision.
  • Enter work orders and inspection data accurately, tracking parts usage.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas and support other duties as assigned.

Title: Level 3 TechnicianDate: 05/20/22Department: MaintenanceReports to: Manager – Murray MaintenanceFLSA Status: Hourly**Summary: Performs preventative and non-scheduled maintenance on heavy duty trucks / trailers and other equipment. Performs repairs or replaces broken parts as necessary with limited supervision. Performs minor body work. May train level 1 technicians. Performs all work in accordance with established practices.Major Duties**:Performs routine, preventative maintenance and vehicle inspections, in compliance with FMCSA inspection guidelinesPerforms various non-scheduled repairs on trucks and trailers with limited supervisionRecords all work performed on work orders and inspection forms, responsible for entering accurate information on work orders while maintaining accountability for allocation of parts to specific equipmentCleans and maintains assigned work areasPerforms other related duties as assigned by management**Qualifications:**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be abel to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
