• Lead the healthcare team; delegate tasks and demonstrate accountability.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans based on evaluations.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of nursing processes and interventions.
• Discuss patient findings and progress with physicians and healthcare team members.
• Practice customer service standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Act as a resource, preceptor, and mentor to new employees and team members.
• Organize work to minimize the use of overtime and assist in systems improvement.
• May be required to work rotating weekends and cross-train to other perinatal areas.
