Job summary

MercyOne Health System - Waterloo Birth Center seeks a Part-time NICU RN to deliver specialized care to premature and critically ill newborns. You will assess and plan care, coordinate the NICU nursing team, and collaborate with neonatologists and families to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires an Iowa RN license, BLS, NRP, and ALCS with a focus on family-centered care and excellent teamwork in a Level III NICU setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) required or equivalent.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license with BLS, NRP and ALCS.
• Mandatory Reporter training is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized, evidence-based NICU care for critically ill newborns.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care.
• Supervise and coordinate the NICU nursing team.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatric specialists and families to ensure outcomes.
