Job summary

Vigilant Protection Services is seeking licensed armed security guards (Level 3) to protect clients, employees, and the public in Texas. The role emphasizes deterrence of threats, incident response, and enforcing site rules with a strong focus on safety and professionalism.

Candidates must possess a Level 3 guard card, a high school diploma, and pass background and drug screening. Shifts include Friday/Saturday nights and Sunday daytime, with 18–30 hours weekly and $15–$17 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Currently have a Level 3 guard card.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent judgment, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Must be able to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation and availability to work assigned shifts (including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed).
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Protect life and property by maintaining a visible presence and conducting regular patrols.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies in a calm and effective manner.
• Monitor access control points.
• Deter criminal activity through strong situational awareness and professional conduct.
• Enforce client-specific rules and regulations on site.
• Complete incident and shift reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain weapon readiness and follow all firearm safety procedures and state laws.
• Monitor entrance/exit to ensure property does not exceed capacity.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and the public. You will play a critical role in deterring threats, responding to incidents, and enforcing property rules.

Schedule & Compensation

• There will be weekends with no shifts, weekly schedule provided.
• Friday and Sunday(when needed) 7pm-1am.
• Hourly pay rate $15-17/hr DOE.
