Job Location: West Virginia - Bridgeport, WV

Description

The NDE Technician will perform calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions, recording results. Level II Technicians are qualified to set up and calibrate equipment, interpret, and evaluate results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications. They are familiar with the scope and limitations of the NDT methods used and are responsible for on-the-job training and guidance of Assistants and Level I Technicians.

Level II Technicians organize and report NDT results.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: setting up and calibrating nondestructive testing equipment; conducting tests to ensure quality and detect discontinuities; establishing examination techniques; applying testing criteria per specifications; interpreting radiographs, CRT or digital readouts, conductivity meters, and visual indicators; organizing and reporting test results; performing specialized inspections; and supervising others as needed.

Additional tasks may be assigned by management.

Experience & Requirements
  • NDT Level II RT with OJT and state certification card.
  • Preferred: NDT Level II MT, PT, UTT.
  • Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
  • Proven ability to perform NDT tasks and interpret inspection results.
  • Knowledge of NDT equipment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass DISA Background check, drug screens, and site-specific safety training.
  • Must test in all required methods with XCEL.
