Insight Global is seeking an Outpatient CT Technologist Level II for a job in Nashville, Tennessee.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Shift: 12 hours, days, flexible
  • Employment Type: Staff

Day to Day: The CT Technologist performs Computed Tomography procedures in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered. Will work with 1-2 technicians and a tech assistant at a time. Manages a daily patient load of 40-70. Handles a wide range of patient exams, including routine, cardiac, and ambulatory cases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs all computed Tomography procedures according to established department protocols
  • Performs an appropriate volume of procedures according to patient load
  • Ensures that the correct patient information, technical settings, and appropriate slice thickness are entered prior to scanning
  • Prepares and administers oral and intravenous contrast media according to established guidelines
  • Performs venipuncture when needed using sterile technique
  • Displays working knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
  • Processes, records, and archives images for evaluation, interpretation, and maintenance purposes
  • Completes filming of all cases in a timely fashion according to radiologists’ requirements
  • Completes processes to send image data to PACS
  • Performs all tasks associated with the proper execution of a CT examination in accordance with the established department and hospital policies and procedures
