Job description

Position Summary

Acuren is currently recruiting for a Level II NDT Technician for our traveling pipeline Integrity division. This position will be remote.

Responsibilities
  1. Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
  2. Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
  3. Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
  4. Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
  5. Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
  6. Organize and report test results
  7. Perform specialized inspections
  8. May instruct and supervise others
  9. Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
  10. 100% travel mostly through the California Region.
Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. Some college preferred
  3. Certified Level II
  4. Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
  5. Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
  6. Knowledge of NDT equipment
  7. Experience in report writing
