WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
POSITION SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, handles and maintains the flow of materials and products in distribution areas according to established guidelines. Operates motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment to accurately store, ship, and receive products, ensuring safety, security, and productivity standards are met.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Operate Jungheinrich wire-guided Stock Picker Forklift and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move products to designated locations and outbound staging areas for shipment.
- Put away, replenish, and pick orders accurately; assemble products for shipment, ensuring correctness and damage-free packaging.
- Utilize voice pick and/or radio frequency equipment for picking, processing, and loading tasks.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and document findings using the GEMOne System.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to facilitate efficient picking.
- Support additional duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Availability to work 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm) with potential overtime.
- Effective communication skills in English, with basic math and reading abilities.
- Familiarity with voice picking and RF equipment preferred.
- Willingness to learn processing functions and support DC operations, including truck loading.
- High accuracy, initiative, dependability, and good attendance.
- Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Good visual acuity, depth perception, peripheral vision, and hearing (correctable if needed).
- Ability to pass OSHA-approved Jungheinrich equipment certification.
- Ability to tolerate heat, cold, dust, noise, vibrations; stand and walk for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- No disciplinary warnings on file.
