Level 3 Stock Picker Operator - 1st Shift
WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
Under direct supervision, handles and maintains flow of materials and products in distribution areas according to established guidelines. Ability to operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment while accurately storing, shipping, and receiving product, meeting the company standards of safety, security, and productivity
- Operating Jungheinrich material handling equipment, specifically the wire-guided Stock Picker Forklift
- Operating Jungheinrich material handling equipment to safely move product to locations and efficiently move product to outbound staging areas for shipment.
- Efficiently Put Away, Replenish, and Pick orders and assemble product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and product ordered is packed and shipped free of damage.
- Completing equipment inspections daily and documenting findings on the GEMOne System
- Using voice pick and/or radio frequency equipment for picking, Processing and loading function, put-away and loading functions, as required.
- Operating Jungheinrich material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner following the prescribed work methods.
- Maintaining the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion ensuring that product can be efficiently picked.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
- Ability to work 1st Shift from 6:30AM - 3:00PM with possibility of over-time
- Familiarity with voice picking and/or radio frequency equipment is beneficial
- Ability to read and effectively communicate in English, count accurately, perform simple math, and write legibly
- Ability and/or knowledge of various processing functions or willingness to learn
- Ability to support DC Operations by performing operational tasks including truck loading in addition to processing or willingness to learn
- Must have good visual acuity, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
- Must have no adverse hearing loss that cannot be corrected with hearing aids.
- Ability to pass OSHA approved Jungheinrich material handling equipment certification.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to modest amounts of heat, cold, dust, noise, and vibrations.
- Ability to maintain a high level of frequency & intensity in other physical activities including, but not limited to reaching, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, stooping, kneeling & crouching.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds consistently, up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions
- Must display a high level of accuracy, initiative and dependability with a good attendance record
- Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment
- No disciplinary final warnings on file
