Job summary

Valor Force in Austin, TX seeks an armed Level 3 School Campus Officer to guard and secure school facilities. Must hold TX DPS Level 3 license, have a valid driver\'s license, be a U.S. citizen, pass a background check, and meet fitness requirements.

This is a full-time role requiring readiness for weekend and holiday shifts and the ability to provide own duty gear. Responsibilities include staffing SRO positions, handling firearms safely, and coordinating with school staff and law enforcement.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Level III license issued from TX DPS PSB.
• Must have a valid driver\'s license.
• High School degree or equivalent.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• U.S. Citizen.
• No felony convictions in last 10 years.
• No Class A/B misdemeanor convictions in specified windows.

Responsibilities

• Staffing for SRO positions and guarding school campuses.
• Operate and handle firearms safely and professionally.
• Maintain readiness to pass physical fitness assessment.
• Work independently with good work ethics.
• Communicate effectively with school staff, students, families, and law enforcement.
• Be able to work all shifts, including weekends/holidays.
• Possess and maintain own duty gear (holster, belt, pants, etc.).
• Walk/stand for long periods and endure inclement weather when needed.

• Prior or current Military/Law Enforcement experience
• Exceptional display of duty weapon manipulation and accuracy
• Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors, which may result in exposure to inclement weather, and be able to walk, run, climb, crawl, sit or stand for extended periods of time and be able to perform all activities faced by emergency first responders
• Must demonstrate the ability to apply critical thinking skills in rendering solutions to various issues that arise in the area of responsibility; must be able to effectively communicate with school staff, students, families, and law enforcement professionals; extensive communication (verbal and written) is required; will be responsible for managing witnesses and others when handling or responding to incidents; requires the use of sound judgment
• The ideal candidate must possess the ability to work with everyone
