Job summary

L4 Security and Consulting Group, LLC seeks a diligent Security Guard to perform a range of protective duties across client sites in the McAllen area. You will monitor entrances, verify documentation, and respond swiftly to alarms and incidents while maintaining professional conduct and clear reporting.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong customer service, situational awareness, and the ability to operate security devices and basic computer systems.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED.
• Must be 21+ and legally able to possess a firearm.
• Must be able to operate a firearm and pass firearms qualification courses.
• Must maintain a professional appearance in uniform.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service verbally and in writing.
• Must be alert and capable of handling crises or emergencies.
• Ability to multi-task effectively.
• Must operate a computer and security devices.
• Depending on client/state, must obtain required training/licensures.

Responsibilities

Job description

A Security Guard comprises the base element of security services. General duties and responsibilities including providing security services to a variety of clients. These duty posts include Federal government, manufacturing and distribution facilities, schools and colleges, religious institutions, retail sites and any other fixed or temporary location as needed or required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. 1. Protect property and lives
2. 2. Monitor entrance/egress of property
3. 3. Identify visitors and ask for appropriate documentation.
4. 4. Guard against theft and maintain security
5. 5. Respond to alarms and calls of distress
6. 6. Complete accurate daily & incident reportsby recording observations, information occurrences and surveillance activities
7. 7. Prevent passage of prohibited vehicles into restricted areas
8. 8. Prevent access to unauthorized persons
9. 9. Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use
10. 10. Regulate and monitor building systems
11. 11. Inspect windows and doors to ensure locks are in place and working
12. 12. Complete all required security logs
13. 13. Communicate effectively with client management, employees, and visitors

Qualifications

1. 1. Must have a High School diploma or GED
2. 2. Must be at least 21 years of age and legally possess a firearm.
3. 3. Can operate a firearm, pass firearms qualification courses and can receive appropriate licensures (TX DPS Level III)
4. 4. Maintain professionalism and ability to wear a uniform neatly and correctly
5. 5. Ability to provide excellent customer service verbally and in writing.
6. 6. Must have the ability be alert and appropriately deal with escalated and crisis/emergency situations.
