Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation seeks an inspector to support quality assurance and metrology programs. You will apply gage study techniques, develop and modify measurement programs for stationary and portable CMM systems, and assist in product development activities.

The role requires hands-on use of Virtek, Faro Arm, and CMM, with emphasis on root-cause analysis, data collection, and clear work instructions for inspection procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in Level 1 and Level 2 Inspector activities.
• Must be able to set-up, program, and operate Virtek, Faro Arm, and CMM.

Responsibilities

• Work with product development activities.
• Create and modify programs for stationary and portable coordinate measuring equipment and related software.
• Write, maintain, and troubleshoot gage programs; inspect welds per AWS standards.

Job Duties

• Working knowledge of statistical data collection Capabilities Studies and Gage R&R's.
• Work with Product development activities.
• Advance knowledge of metallurgical equipment.
• Assist in Development of training programs regarding complex measuring equipment.
• Create and modify programs for stationary and portable coordinates measuring equipment & related software.
• Writing, maintaining, and troubleshooting gage programs
• Create and maintain pictorial and written work instructions for inspection procedures.
• Perform root cause analysis for problem solving.
• Inspection and analysis of welds per AWS standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in all Level 1 and Level 2 Inspector activities
• Must be able to set-up, program, and operate Virtek, Faro Arm, and CMM

Preferred Qualifications

• Can create and modify programs for stationary and portable coordinate measuring equipment & related software
• Working knowledge of statistical data collection, capability studies, and Gage R&R.
• Root Cause analysis and problem-solving skills
