Job Description

United Direct Solutions is currently looking for a full-time Level 3 Help Desk Technician for our Cincinnati, OH facility.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Overtime as needed

Job Summary

The Level 3 Help Desk Technician provides advanced technical support to resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues escalated from Level 1 and Level 2 support teams. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, system administration, and ensuring the functionality of IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced support and troubleshooting for software, hardware, networks, and systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems, focusing on systems administration and network configuration.
  • Perform system monitoring, updates, patches, and backups.
  • Advise on system configuration and network management.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to server performance, email, cloud applications, and network infrastructure.
  • Log and track recurring problems and create knowledge base articles.
  • Coordinate with other IT departments and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Document technical issues and resolutions.
  • Participate in IT projects related to upgrades and infrastructure changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT support or similar roles.
  • Expertise in Windows OS, networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of hardware, systems administration, and network management.
  • Experience with virtualization (preferably Hyper-V), database management, and server administration (SQL Server, Active Directory, Office 365).
  • Strong remote troubleshooting skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, MCSE, or CCNA are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Zendesk).
  • Scripting and automation (PowerShell).
  • Cybersecurity principles.
Working Conditions
  • Full-time, on-site or remote with potential hybrid work.
  • Occasional after-hours support.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
