Level 2 Technical Engineer

As a Level 2 Technical Engineer (Level 2 Technical Support), you will work independently while managing IT workflows. You will support Pinnacle’s business operations by serving as a technical advisor and delivering technical solutions.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of computer support, networking experience, or equivalent applicable work experience
  • Travel: Up to 10%, with possible overnights within the US

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary Level 2 support for escalated issues from the Level 1 Service Desk team, including local and remote support. Document troubleshooting and resolution steps using Pinnacle’s ITSM tool.
  • Participate in IT projects and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Support application activities and end-user support.
  • Manage end-user workstations and support activities remotely.
  • Investigate user problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
  • Perform and oversee software testing, installation, and upgrades.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer workstations and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues such as firewalls, networks, and VPNs; support systems and applications to resolve operational issues.
  • Develop and deliver training for system users on operating systems and applications.
  • Maintain confidentiality of user data and system information.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to achieve results.
  • Review system documentation, preventive maintenance, and SOPs for compliance.
  • Create support documentation and train the Service Desk team.
  • Participate in on-call activities during evenings and weekends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
