Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

Title: Level 2 Service Desk Engineer – Hybrid | Oak Brook, IL

Location: On-site for initial training, then hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote)

We’re hiring a Level 2 Service Desk Engineer to join a fast-paced, people-focused Managed Service Provider that serves a wide variety of clients—ranging from small businesses to government agencies. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on solving complex IT challenges, enjoys supporting end users, and wants to continue building their technical skillset in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional service, knows how to handle tickets independently, and is passionate about continuous learning in a modern MSP setting.

What You’ll Do:

  • Respond to support requests and troubleshoot end-user issues remotely
  • Troubleshoot hardware, networks, and desktop environments
  • Install, update, and maintain operating systems, applications, and antivirus tools
  • Support Windows 10 and Server environments (2012/2016/2019)
  • Manage Active Directory and assist with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace environments
  • Partner with senior engineers to resolve more advanced issues
  • Document issues clearly and escalate when appropriate

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in IT support or help desk environments
  • Previous MSP experience strongly preferred
  • Hands-on with Microsoft technologies: Windows 10, AD, Server 2012–2019
  • Familiarity with Office 365, Google Workspace, and cloud-based tools a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism with clients
  • Self-starter with strong time management and problem-solving abilities
  • Patience, empathy, and a desire to educate end users
  • Salary $60,000-$75,000
