Join GALLO as a Level 2 Racker & Blender and play an important role in producing high-quality products while supporting a culture built on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. In this hands-on cellar operations role, you'll execute daily production schedules, perform treatments and material additions, navigate production systems, and help ensure the quality and integrity of every batch.

You’ll work closely with technical operators, team leaders, and peers to complete work orders, communicate production status, and maintain compliance with quality and safety standards. Every day brings variety as you manage multiple priorities, support production activities, and contribute to an environment where operational excellence matters.

This position offers a unique opportunity to build your skills across multiple equipment centers while working in a collaborative, fast-paced production environment. Team members who demonstrate proficiency and successfully learn required equipment centers can progress into advanced processing roles, creating a clear pathway for growth and development within the Cellar organization!

  • High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • Required to successfully complete assessment.
  • Required to climb stairs on an occasional basis.
  • Required to work in outdoor ambient conditions.
  • Required to work overtime as business needs require.

  • Required to stand-up lifting 50 pounds
  • Required to occasionally lift and carry up to 55 pounds.
  • Required to be 21 years of age or older.
  • Use of respirator with proper fit as outlined by OSHA requirements.
  • Required to learn, qualify for, and obtain a forklift certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to maneuver pumps and other cellar equipment over hoses and carry 2-inch and 3-inch by 25-foot hoses for distances up to several hundred feet. The role requires grip strength, frequent turning and twisting of the hand, wrist, and forearm, and regular fine finger dexterity. The employee must occasionally lift 10 to 25 pounds, including small clips, valves, hand tools, ingredient bags, and smaller hoses; frequently lift up to 50 pounds, including hoses 10 to 25 feet long and three to four inches in diameter, chemical containers, and approximately 50 pounds or more of torque pressure when lifting the back handle of a portable pump to push it over a hose; and occasionally lift 51 to 75 pounds, including ingredient containers or when maneuvering a portable transfer pump that requires pushing, pulling, or lifting.

While performing this job, the employee is frequently exposed to dust, fumes, smoke, gases, solvents, chemicals, and other irritating substances. Work is performed primarily outdoors, approximately 75 to 95 percent of the time, on concrete and asphalt surfaces. Outdoor temperatures may range from 30 to 110 degrees. The employee may walk on wet, slippery, icy, or uneven surfaces and over obstacles; climb inside tanks through small openings multiple times per day; and use stairways, catwalks, ramps, and portable or stationary ladders. Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. In addition to the salary, this position may be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participate in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.
