Responsibilities

1. Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing vocational and educational activities to restore and reinforce individuals' task performance, promoting their overall health and self-sufficiency.
2. Design and adapt equipment for working and living environments, including fabricating assistive devices to improve participation in the program and community.
3. Conduct community reintegration activities to support individuals' occupational therapy needs during physical activity.
4. Provide training to individuals and involved parties, documenting training results.
5. Support treatment plans by documenting and reporting status changes to the rehabilitation team as appropriate.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program.
2. Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification.
3. Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and neuro-rehabilitation techniques.
4. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience with traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions.
5. Current CPR certification.
6. Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.
