Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, CA seeks an Associate Program Leader for the Lethality & Signatures group within the International Assessment Program to lead a dynamic team executing work in support of intelligence missions for the Department of War. You will develop project execution plans, manage budgets and schedules, and provide oversight of IA support to sponsors.

The role requires strong leadership of multidisciplinary teams, experience with national security

Qualifications

• Active DOE Q clearance and SCI access
• Master's degree or equivalent in a related discipline
• Experience managing and supervising multidisciplinary teams for external sponsors
• Experience influencing partners and stakeholders to achieve programmatic objectives
• Ability to plan staffing, budgets, and resource allocation for complex programs
• Experience working in a classified environment with multi-agency security requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication to senior management and sponsors

Responsibilities

• Lead the IA Program leadership team and influence institutional objectives
• Provide technical and analytical leadership on foreign nuclear weapons programs and threats
• Identify opportunities and develop internal investment strategies for the IA Program
• Formulate and execute short-term and strategic goals and deliverables
• Oversee project management, budgets, staffing, and resource allocation for DoW-sponsored work
• Mentor analysts and support career development across the team
• Build and maintain sponsor and stakeholder relationships to ensure successful execution
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education

Master's degree or equivalent in physical science, nuclear physics, weapons design, engineering, political science or related discipline
